The SCSI Property & Facility Manager’s Annual Lunch 2017 was held on Friday 10th March in The Westbury Hotel. This is the largest social event in the Property & Facility Manager’s social diary and remains ever popular with members with over 150 in attendance.
The Western Region Annual Dinner took place on Friday, 3rd March in The Ardilaun Hotel, Co. Galway. This black tie event was attended by over 150 members from counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Longford, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
The Society’s Annual Dinner 2017 took place last Thursday at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road with 1,300 guests in attendance at the sold out event. The largest event of the year for professionals in the industry, the black tie evening offers members an excellent opportunity to network and meet colleagues working in their sector.
The SCSI North East region will hold its inaugural dinner at the Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan next Friday the 27th January.
Over 200 Chartered Surveyors from counties Meath, Westmeath, Louth, Monaghan and Cavan are expected to attend the event. The guest speaker for the dinner is broadcaster and economist David McWilliams who will speak on Brexit in the crossborder context and the prospects for the property market arising from it.

The Society held their annual Christmas members reception o December 1st, with over 100 members in attendance.
The building was adorned with Christmas decorations in time for the event with canapes, wine and beer served well into the evening.
Both Roisin McGrenra, Aramark and Kay Maguire, Galway Property Services were awarded Highest Achieving Student in their respective DIT courses. Roisin who achieved top marks in her course, Ordinary Degree in Property and Facility Management and Kay Maguire who placed first in DIT’s Higher Certificate in Property Studies course.
This year’s Dinner, organised by Michael Mooring, Chair of the Southern Region, and the rest of the Committee attracted over 250 members from around the region involved in the land, property and construction sector.
The speaker for this month was Gillian Horan from The Pudding Brand who spoke on personal branding. Gillian is the Chief Brand Strategist and CEO of The Pudding Brand. She is a certified brand consultant, a lecturer, a trainer and an author. She has over 12 years’ experience in the world of branding and is often referred to as a brand fanatic.
