The SCSI took a stand this week at the 2017 National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Tullamore. We joined together with the Property Services Regulatory Authority, Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers, Valuation Office, Property Registration Authority, Ordnance Survey Ireland and Myhome.ie to form the National Property & Land Information Centre.
With almost a dozen talks taking place daily, covering a variety of public interest topics across property and land, there was something for everyone attending this years’ event.
Located nearby the NPA marquee, members were invited to visit the SCSI stand to meet the team, network with fellow professionals and hear from the daily line-up of speakers. Minister for Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan, T.D attended to launch the annual report for the PSRA. Anna May McHugh, MD of the National Ploughing Championships and Mairead McGuinness MEP visited the marquee to meet the team and speak to visitors of the stand.
The Society ran a competition on the last day of the Ploughing Championships, encouraging visitors to the stand to guess the average price of land in Offaly. The information was taken from our Teagsc/ SCSI Land Values Report. Congratulations to Mr. Pat Fitzgibbons for winning the €250 One4All gift voucher prize for the closest answer.
