The annual SCSI 5-a-side Tag Rugby Tournament took place last Thursday, 29th of June Old Wesley RFC, Donnybrook. Savills, for the fourth year in a row fought off fierce competition from fourteen teams, twice the number of last year, to secure their title as overall winners of the 2017 SCSI Tag Rugby Tournament. Team captain, Captain Jennifer Warren, accepted the Walls Construction Winners Cup on behalf of the team.

With a 2 – 1 defeat, runners-up on the day were Ardmac who played a strong game against Savills, while Walls Construction prevailed to take home the Tournament Plate.

This year’s competition recognised more than just the winning teams, but individuals also with an addition the Sportsperson of the Tournament award presented to Ian Robinson of Cushman and Wakefield and the much coveted award, Epic Fail of the Tournament, taken home by Mark Headon, Knight Frank.

After the tournament, a BBQ was held for everyone who participated, followed by live entertainment in the clubhouse.
