The SCSI was delighted to welcome Geoffrey Kasselman, the Global President of SIOR, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors to the Society’s offices at 38 Merrion Square on Tuesday.
SIOR is an international professional commercial and industrial real estate association based in Washington, D.C which offers a professional designation (SIOR) to commercial brokers and other industry professionals.
Aine Myler, Director General of the SCSI addressed members in attendance to welcome Geoffrey Kasselman to the Society and speak about SIOR, its history and its commonalities with the SCSI.
Mr. Kasselman’s presentation, entitled “The Exponential Future of Commercial Real Estate” looked at the how the world, and indeed how the commercial real estate market will change, adapt and progress in the not too distant future.
Mr. Kasselman spoke on how emerging technologies and advancements will impact infrastructure and real estate, touching on interesting concepts such as robotics, 3D printing of buildings, sonic speed transportation systems, driver-less cars, flying cars, shared office leases and more.
