On behalf of the SCSI President, Claire Solon, the Society held the President’s Charity Lunch on Thursday, 3rd of May in the InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge.

The Charity lunch was held to raise funds for the Capuchin Day Centre which last year delivered 272,000 meals and 108,500 food parcels for people in need.

The guest speaker on the afternoon was Paul Williams, Presenter of Newstalk. With all proceeds going to the charity, the Society is delighted to announce that over €7,500 was raised, with donations still coming in.

SCSI President Claire Solon and the Society would like to thank the 75 members in attendance at the charity lunch for their support and their generous contribution to the Capuchin Day Centre. The money raised will go a long way in helping the homeless.
