The SCSI Rural Professional Group will deliver their annual Rural Technical Briefing in partnership with the South East Region on Friday, 6th March 2015 in Kilkenny’s Ormonde Hotel.
We are delighted to announce that Phil Hogan, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development will be present to address members at this event. In addition, we have a range of high quality speakers covering important issues that are pertinent to the rural profession.
Breege Lynn, Senior Vice President of Marsh Commercial Consumer Practice specialises in professional indemnity, directors & officers liability, employment practices & pension trustee insurance solutions. Breege will discuss professional indemnity and insurance for Chartered Surveyors.
Jonathan Ginnelly, Manager, Private Clients Tax Department, Deloitte, advises on matters relating to capital taxes, wealth management, shareholder restructurings, trusts and estates. Jonathan also advises on stamp duty issues with respect to corporate restructuring, property and financial services transactions. Jonathan will speak on tax issues arising from the Finance Bill and the definition of a “Farmer” and “part time Farmer” for the purposes of taxation relief.
James Staines, Kennedys, solicitor to the IFA, will give an overview of the legal issues surrounding land leases/long term leasing, Single Farm Payments and organising farm enterprises.
