Public Procurement Survey of Professionals

The Quantity Surveying Procurement Working Group surveyed quantity surveyors in relation to Public Procurement and have now published their results.

The survey highlights concerns relating to the onerous paperwork, lack of debriefing, disproportionate financial requirements and an over emphasis on price as the predominant negative factors when tendering for public contracts. Further engagement with the Office of Government Procurement will continue in 2015 and this survey will provide a basis for highlighting members’ concerns with responsible authorities.
