The Changing Face of the Rural Economy

The Rural Professional Group held their annual seminar, ‘The Changing Face of the Rural Economy’, in the Portlaoise Heritage hotel on Friday November 14th. There was several high profile speakers delivering talks on topics such as rural housing, common agricultural policy, taxation, land prices, rural energy supply, land disputes, government/ political view and industry insight. The line-up of speakers included:

  • Tim O’Leary of Irish Farmers Association

  • John Shirley – Contributor to the Farmer’s Journal

This annual seminar continues to be one of the most highly regarded events by Rural Surveying Professionals with over 90 people in attendance on the evening.
