This year, the FM sub-committee at the Society have put their heads together to bring about exciting changes to FM Ireland 2017. For this years conference, the Society has teamed up with BIFM to offer attendees two full days of interesting topics relating to core FM activities while at the same time exploring how FM is changing and can change through the strategic agenda.

The idea behind this initiative is to allow members access to the skills, business acumen and insights held by more experienced Chartered surveyors.
National property prices are set to rise by an average of 7% in 2017 with even higher price increases predicted for the Leinster region. According to the SCSI’s Annual Residential Property Review and Outlook Report 2017, the price of the most popular house type, the 3 bed semi detached is predicted to rise by an average of 9.4% nationally.
The SCSI North East region will hold its inaugural dinner at the Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan next Friday the 27th January.
Over 200 Chartered Surveyors from counties Meath, Westmeath, Louth, Monaghan and Cavan are expected to attend the event. The guest speaker for the dinner is broadcaster and economist David McWilliams who will speak on Brexit in the crossborder context and the prospects for the property market arising from it.
